Belle Rabon Davis

COLUMBIA A funeral service for Belle Rabon Davis, 100 years old, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2015, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Serenity Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2015, at the funeral home. Mrs. Davis died peacefully on Thursday, December 17, 2015. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Daniel M. and Emma Brazell Rabon. A graduate of Lower Richland High School, she retired as an assistant manager for Tapp’s Department Store. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved cooking and gardening and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was one of the oldest living members of Greenlawn Baptist Church. She was loved and respected by everyone who knew her and she will be forever missed. Surviving are her daughters, Joye D. Hanna of Columbia, Dianne D. McKay (Ray) of Beaufort; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Earlie Mae Davis. She was predeceased by her husband, William A. Davis Sr.; son, William A. Davis Jr.; granddaughter, Donna Davis; great-grandson, Christopher Davis; six brothers and four sisters. Memorials may be made to Greenlawn Baptist Church, 6612 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209.
