Bridget Ann Werner

COLUMBIA - A memorial service for Bridget Ann Werner, 49, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, 2 June, 2016, at Main Post Chapel at Fort Jackson. The family will receive friends following the memorial in the Chapel Fellowship Hall. Bridget died Monday, May 23, 2016. Born on November 22, 1966, in Nederland, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Russell Melancon and Erlene Harrington. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to so many. She loved her extended dart family, her friends, and especially her family. She loved the traveling associated with her own and her husband's military service. She loved cooking, volleyball, softball, darts, and the outdoors. She had a huge heart and always made time for those in need. She will be missed by all. Surviving are her husband of 15 years, Christopher Werner; daughters, Erika Field, of Columbia, Eriel Smith, of Alabama, and Cameron Werner, of Wisconsin; sons, Tristan Gonzalez, of Columbia, and Christopher Werner II, of Columbia; sister, Leonia Fruge (Jason) of Texas; brother, Lawrence Broussard, of Texas; mother-in-law, Gail Werner, of Minnesota; brother-in-law, Joseph Werner, of Minnesota; and other extended family. The family wishes to thank the leadership of the Soldier Support Institute and 369 AG Bn, Fort Jackson, SC. They would also like to thank past leadership and friends, but especially Bridget's dart family.
