

COLUMBIA – Brockman Currie McKinney, 28, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Union United Methodist Church in Irmo, SC. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Brock was born October 8, 1991 in Columbia to Stanley and Miriam Brockman McKinney. He was a graduate of Chapin High School and attended the University of South Carolina. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with friends, as well entertaining them with his guitar and songs.
Brock possessed the heart of artist; he was a talented painter and gifted musician. He also loved the outdoors, fishing and turkey hunting with his grandfather and brother. His art was much admired not only by friends and family, but many others. He was an avid music lover and a collector of music memorabilia. He enjoyed many jam sessions with friends over the years. Brock was a wonderful person with a heart of gold, known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
He is predeceased by grandparents, Morris and Mary Jane McKinney and John Brockman, Jr. Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Stan and Miriam Brockman McKinney; a brother, Austin McKinney and fiancé Becca Langley; grandmother, Louise Brockman; aunts, Diane (Jim) Wilhelm, and Joselyn (Cres) Holcombe; uncle, John Brockman, III; and many dear cousins.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to so many loyal friends who have supported Brock and our entire family in so many ways.
