

COLUMBIA - Clement F. “Clem” Goldson passed unto the arms of his Savior on Monday, October 13, 2014. Clem was born in Columbia, S.C., June 12, 1944 to the late Hubert F. Goldson and Evelyn Withers Goldson. He graduated from Dreher High School, attended Anderson Junior College and graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Business Administration. He was predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Margaret “DeDe” Goldson. He is survived by his twin brother, Charles H. Goldson (Cherry) of St. Petersburg, Fla.; sister, JoAnne Gilham (Ben) of Columbia; as well as many nieces and nephews. Clem served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He loved playing golf with his friends as well as traveling. A true pioneer in the graphics industry, Clem started with DeDe at DG&F Typography an industry leader in the 70’s and 80’s which later helped in the founding of Spectra in 2002. Over the past decade, Clem insured that his employees and customers pushed the envelope, embracing new technology and marketing trends, but never at the expense of fun. These efforts positively impacted the lives of all that worked with him, remembering him as an extraordinary and irreplaceable. A Celebration of Life for Clem will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Epworth Children’s Home; WMHK Radio, a ministry of Columbia International University; or a charity of one’s choice.
