David had 65 years of living in the world at a different pace and with a different view than most. He enjoyed looking at the sky through a telescope when he was younger and could spend a lot of time enthusiastically talking about telescopes and astronomy.
David was a lifelong resident of South Carolina and loved the South Carolina coast, particularly Edisto Island. He would talk about his walks on the beach to hunt for treasures the ocean had brought to the shore (sharks’ teeth and prehistoric fossils). David collected many of these over the years.
David spent a great deal of time listening to music, especially from the 60’s and 70’s. He also had an appreciation for movies of all types.
David is survived by a brother, John (Beverley), a niece, Katherine and a nephew, William, as well as extended family.
Services will be private at a later date. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Please sign the online guestbook at www.dunbarfunerals.com.
