

COLUMBIA A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy Bond Profilet, 83, will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, December 19, 2014, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Commendation and Farewell Prayers will be in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Profilet died Monday, December 15, 2014. Born February 14, 1931, in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late John Murray and Dorothy Rebecca Stewart Bond. She graduated from Dreher High School Class of 1949 and attended Winthrop College. She and her late husband, Clarence Julienne Profilet, were married at St. Joseph Catholic Church in 1956. They left Columbia for a 23 year naval career and returned to Columbia upon his retirement. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, the Mimosa Garden Club, Spring Valley Country Club and the Symphony League. She was also a supporter of Columbia City Ballet. Surviving are her children, Clarence Julienne Profilet, IV of Columbia, Terry Profilet Yates (Jeff) of Chesapeake, Va., John Profilet (Tama) of Virginia Beach, Va., Kathy Profilet Lenti (John) of Columbia, Julie Profilet Saucier (Marty) of Bethlehem, Penn., and Tricia Profilet of Columbia; grandchildren, Stephanie Profilet, Julianne Isaac (Mitchell), John Michael, Rebecca and Kathryn Lenti, Kyle and Kalyn Profilet and Samantha and Tyler Yates; nieces, Laura Bond Touchberry (Tom) and Meredith Bond Koss (Rusty); and brother, Robert Stewart Bond. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, John Murray Bond Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Columbia City Ballet, 1545 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
