
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2023 in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
Born in Oak Ridge, TN, on January 15, 1955 to Joseph Reuben and Doris Jean Donovan Bearden.
Lisa received her undergraduate and master’s degree from the University of South Carolina and completed her PhD at the University of Alabama. She was a Private Practice Counselor and enjoyed serving her community.
Lisa was happily married to Jay until his death in 2021. Together, they enjoyed traveling to Alabama home games and attending First Baptist Church of Columbia where they served as Greeters. Lisa was a devoted lifelong pet lover and faithful supporter of the ASPCA and area Humane Societies.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Jay Jashinsky. Those left to cherish her memory, include her sister, Sharon Tomlin; a nephew, Joseph Pearson Tomlin; step-son, John Jashinsky (Mary); three grandchildren, Layla Grace, Jackson, Mary Kate; and her two fur babies, Jimmy and Riley.
