COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Emmie Mathews Ogden Robinson, 87, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2014, at the funeral home. Mrs. Robinson died Saturday, July 5, 2014. Born in Ward, S.C., she was a daughter of the late James Oscar and Margaret Bonnette Mathews. She was retired from the New York Teachers’ Association and a member of First Baptist Church in Columbia. Surviving are her sons, Rick Ogden; daughters, Sharon Richter (Donald), Judi Hueter (Mark), Sandi Ogden (Dan); sister, Mary Luckhaupt; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful canine companion, Buddy. She was predeceased by her first husband, Larry Ogden and her second husband, Bill Robinson; brother, Jimmy Mathews; and sisters, Evelyn Mills and Essie Lee Livingston.
