Erich Danker

Erich died Sunday, February 11, 2024. Born in Bremen, Germany, he was a son of the late Alfred Danker and Elisabeth Schmidt Danker. He served in the German Army. Erich owned and operated International Coiffures for 50 years. Erich was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church on Wheat Street but he attended First Baptist Columbia with Charlene for over 20 years. He enjoyed manicuring his yard and was an avid Carolina Gamecocks fan. Erich loved spending time with his family and friends and looked forward to all the memories he could make with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Charlene Dykes of Columbia, SC; two sons, Christopher Danker (Mandi) of Charleston, SC, and Collin Danker (Christin) of Irmo, SC; daughter, Angela McKeown (Hugh) of West Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Charlotte Danker, Caleb McKeown and Ella Grace McKeown; brother, Manfred Danker (Gabi), nephew, Christian Danker (Alexandra), and great-nephews, Malte, Jette, and Tim, all of Germany.
