

Born December 30, 1951 at Somers Point, New Jersey to Francis G. Fickling and Elaine Ada Jackson Fickling, the family soon moved to South Carolina. Cholly grew up in Columbia where she graduated from A.C. Flora High School. She worked for the S.C. Department of Vocational Rehabilitation where she met her future husband, Joseph Morris. She later worked, for several years, for IBM Corporation and later The University of South Carolina Education Foundation, from which she retired in 2009.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Morris; daughters Lauren Nageeullah (Ty) and Ashley Turbyfill (Mike); and grandsons, Elijah Joseph Nageeullah, London Grey Nageeullah and Jackson Edward Turbyfill.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at eleven o'clock at the Dunbar Funeral Home on Devine Street in Columbia, followed by a brief graveside service at Greenlawn Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Northeast United Methodist Church, 4000 Hard Scrabble Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29223.
