

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Washington Street United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
Ingrid was born in Berlin, Germany on September 10, 1929 to Frederick and Josephine Winkler. In 1930, she immigrated to Toronto, Canada with her parents. While on the ship, she learned to walk. In 1948, she met her future husband, Woodward W. Williams, Jr at Kimberley Point, Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. They were married June 7, 1952 and shortly thereafter made Columbia their home. Ingrid was a member of the Larkspur Garden Club and Forest Lake Club. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, sewing, birds and flower arranging.
She is survived by her son, Woodward “Woody” White Williams, III (Patricia); her daughter, Ingrid Williams Clark; she was “Gram” to two grandsons, John Clark, Jr. (Crystal), Bennett Williams and “2G” to two great-grandchildren, Lauren (9) and Kevin (6) Clark.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude for her caregivers Evonne Bigby, Gwen Dunn and Steven Adams with their love and friendship for 10+ years.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ingrid’s honor to a charity of one’s choice.
