COLUMBIA Jimmie Raymond Logan, 78, died Friday, January 16, 2015. Born in Empire, Ala., he was a son of the late Albert V. and Allie Lee Farley Logan. He retired from the U.S. Army with 21 years, serving both in Korea and Vietnam. He also retired from civil service at Ft. Jackson with another 21 years of service. Surviving are his daughter, Clara Logan and her husband, Mark Tarbush of Chapin; four grandchildren, Sarah V. Baldwin, Ann Riley Baldwin, Logan Andrew Baldwin, Korbyn Leah Tarbush; and a sister, Linda Ray Royer. He was predeceased by his wife, Sun Chung Logan and a brother, Norman E. Logan. The family will receive friends from 5 until 6:30 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. A private graveside service with full military honors will be held.
