

Born in Columbia on September 8, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John Edward and Mitylene Owens Goff.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, March 21, 2025 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Bishop Jason Garner of International Praise Church of God will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11 until 12:00 noon at the funeral home prior to the service.
Joyce was a member of North Trenholm Baptist Church. She was a 1949 graduate of Dentsville High School and was previously employed in the Credit Office of Belk’s on Main and Easler Construction Company. She volunteered for 26 years at Providence Hospital.
Surviving are her daughter, Susan Easler of Elgin; son, David Easler (Amy); granddaughters, Danielle White (Jeff) of Summerville, S.C., Michelle Nock (fiancé, Tylor Brown) of Chapin, S.C.; great-granddaughter, Nora White of Summerville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters, Maurice, Alton, Holley, Edward, Ulma, Thelma, Nancy, Berniece and Shellie Goff.
The family would like to give special thanks for the excellent care and love that the staff of Karesh at Beechwood provided: Barry, Patty, Sandy, Sue or “Sue Ellen” (as Mom called her), Michelle, Vanessa and many more whose names we can’t recall. God has given you special hearts and talent for caring for the elderly.
