

June Reynolds Allston died on March 6, 2026 at the age of 96 at Still Hopes Episcopal Home in Columbia, SC. Graveside services will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Hartsville, SC on Saturday, March 14th.
Born in Florence, SC on July 11, 1929, she grew up on the Reynolds farm in Lamar, SC. Mrs. Allston was the daughter of the late James Herbert Reynolds and Amy Connor Reynolds. She grew up on the farm with her parents and her late sister Sybil Reynolds Bowen and her late aunt Aline Reynolds. Mrs. Allston graduated from Coker College in 1950 and married the late Joseph H. Allston in 1949. They were married for 65 years.
She is survived by her son Joseph Herbert Allston of Hartsville, her daughter Aline Allston Ferguson of Blythewood, and her son Stephen W. Allston (Amelia) of North Augusta. She is also survived by her grandson Sam J. Ferguson of Herndon, VA and her granddaughter Amy Ferguson Cook (John) of Blythewood, and her great grandson Holtson Cook.
Mrs. Allston served as Vice President of Palmetto Food Service and was a case worker of Darlington County DSS. Her hobbies included traveling in South America, Europe and China, reading, walking and hiking, and playing bridge and duplicate bridge. She had a high energy level and was ready for new adventures on short notice.
