Born in Okemah, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Hale King and Anna Mae Savage King. He served in the US Army and retired as Sergeant First Class. Kenneth later worked as a lab technician at Lexington County Hospital until he retired. He enjoyed Ham radio operations, walking, and loved being in nature.
Surviving are his two daughters, Beatrice King of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Christine Kessler of Lugoff, South Carolina; and his two grandchildren, Joseph Kessler and Mary Garner.
