COLUMBIA - Larry E. Cope, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 28, 2021. Larry was born in Charleston, S.C. on September 28, 1946 to Edgar Eugene and Grace Moore Cope. He worked for SCE&G/SCANA Corporation for 36 years, and upon retiring was employed part time by the Richland County Public Library. Larry is a former member of the Air National Guard.
Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved fishing at Folly Beach with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed golfing with his two sons. He was always quick to lend a helping hand to anyone, whether it was to help a family member, close friend, or a total stranger. He will be missed by many.
Larry was predeceased by his parents and his only sibling, Ricky Cope. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years, Anna Cope; a daughter, Kimberly Cope; two sons, Andrew E. Cope, Wesley D. Cope (Lacey); four grandchildren, Ayden, Parker, Tucker, and Finn; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Bethel United Methodist Church, with Pastor Julie Belman officiating. Inurnment will immediately follow in the Bethel United Methodist Church Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service in the reception hall.
