Linda Lesesne Mitchell

Linda was born on March 28, 1945 to William Bratton and Louise Taylor Lesesne in Columbia. Linda graduated from Columbia High School in 1963.

Linda married John Daniel Mitchell and had two daughters Teri and Alice and two granddaughters Taylor and Morgan Fischer.

Linda, her husband John, and Lynn Cavin were partners in Mitchell-Cavin and Associates, a manufacturing rep agency serving Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee for over twenty years. Linda won “Rep of the Year” from Palmetto Wholesaler in 1989. In 2011, Linda and John retired from the business.

Linda and John loved going on cruises and ended up going on over 80 cruises together mainly to the Caribbean. They made life-long friends, and Linda became so knowledgeable about cruises that she was asked to serve as an advisor for Cruise Critic’s online blog. Linda was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed keeping up with the Carolina Gamecocks. Other hobbies included her extensive and large patio garden.

Linda was predeceased by her parents Bratton and Louise Lesesne, siblings James Henry Lesesne and Emily Lesesne Crapps, and sister-in-law Frances Lesesne. She is survived by her husband John, daughters Teri and Alice, and granddaughters Taylor (29) and Morgan (25).

Visitation will be held at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. with graveside services following in Greenlawn Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. Memories may be shared at www.dunbarfunerals.com.
