

Born in Marion County, South Carolina on May 17, 1933, she was the fourth of eight children of Frank Monroe Johnson, Sr. and Sallie Moody Johnson.
Margaret received a business degree from Winthrop College and retired after a long and rewarding career with the University of South Carolina, Department of Continuing Education.
She was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church and the Agape Sunday School class. She enjoyed her membership in the Red Hat Society, was an avid sports fan and loved her South Carolina Gamecocks. Margaret also enjoyed traveling, especially in the mountains and dedicated much of her time to her family. She especially looked forward to her annual mountain getaway with her children and grandchildren.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband, William Reece Miller; sisters, Janice Beauchamp, Frances Lovett, Cecile Shank; brother, Frank Monroe Johnson, Jr.; and son-in-law, Ros Huff. She is survived by sons, Daniel Miller (Bernice) of Inman, S.C., Michael Miller (Judy) of Columbia, S.C., Stuart Miller (Susan) of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., and daughter, Terri Huff of Columbia, S.C. Others left to cherish her memory are eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn Campbell of Marion, S.C., Rheba Register of Wilmington, NC, and Marie Shank of Georgetown, S.C.; along with many nieces and nephews.
Margaret will be remembered as a kind and selfless lady who was devoted to her family.
The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Carroll Campbell Place and MSA Hospice for the excellent care, compassion, and love shown to their Mother.
A funeral service for Mrs. Miller will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, 3926 Devine Street, Columbia, South Carolina 29205, Rev. Anthony Pizzuti (nephew) will be officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
