COLUMBIA - A memorial service for Mary Catheryne “Marcy” Bytnar, 52, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
Mrs. Bytnar passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. Born in Parma, Ohio on January 26, 1966, she was the daughter of the late Michael Garvey and Sally Carmody.
Marcy was a graduate of Lexington High School and Midlands Technical College. She worked as a paralegal and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a loving wife and mother, and loved being the loudest one on the sidelines pulling for her boys. Marcy was a friend to many and a stranger to none.
Surviving are her husband of 21 years, Scot Bytnar; sons, Tucker Bytnar, Jake Bytnar and Hank Bytnar, all of Columbia; step-father, Richard Carmody of Columbia; and mother-in-law, Beverly Bytnar.
