COLUMBIA Graveside service for Michael Floyd Young, 66, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014, in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Mr. Young died Thursday, November 6, 2014. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Floyd Ernest Young and Eva Mae “Boots” Brandon Young. He was a graduate of Dreher High School and the University of South Carolina. Mr. Young was a United States Army Veteran having served in Germany. He was employed by Milliken & Company, Cushman Plant, and Computer Dynamics in Williamston, S.C., before retiring to Columbia. Surviving are his brother, Raymond Brandon Young and wife Paula of Ormond Beach, Florida; Carolyn Phillips and her family, Lester and Grace Phillips, Jackie, Bill, Abby and Will Turner.
