Millie McConkey

Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church.

Millie was born the eldest of seven children on June 22, 1923 in Madisonville, TN to Homer and Evelyn Johnson. She truly lived a vibrant life playing tennis into her 80’s. She was creative to her core and an accomplished gardener and a flower show judge. Millie was a very active member of Eastminster Presbyterian where she served as an Elder, the head of the Congregational Care Committee and was chosen as a Presbyterian Woman of the Year. Most importantly Millie adored her family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, E.B. McConkey. Survivors include her children, Robert B. McConkey, Sr, Candace Galliher (Gary), Vicki Boozer (Alton), Sally Brown (Tony), six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
