

A visitation (12:00 PM) and funeral service (1:00 PM) will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, 3926 Devine Street, Columbia, South Carolina 29205. A reception will be held afterward at the Kappa Sigma Fraternity house located on the University of South Carolina campus at 808 Mark Buyck Way, Columbia, South Carolina 29201.
Nancy was born on September 18, 1944, to Lorraine and Manvil Brown in St. Louis, Missouri where she graduated from Lindbergh High School. She dedicated her life to service, having a variety of careers as a special education school bus driver at the Arlington Independent School District, Program Manager at Mental Health and Mental Retardation of Tarrant County, a Management Specialist at the South Carolina Department of Social Services, a Program Assistant (House Director) at the Kappa Sigma Fraternity House at the University of South Carolina and a member of the staff and board of the Mustard Seed Autism Project of Arlington, Texas.
Nancy’s favorite activity was time spent with friends and family. She loved to do anything near water whether that was riding jet skis with her grandsons, swimming or being a lifeguard. She also enjoyed time with her friends’ playing games and discussing the events of the day at Campo Verde in Pantego, Texas.
Nancy is survived by her son, Ronald Wade Anderson; grandsons Bazeel Bates Anderson, and Jones Wade Anderson of Columbia, South Carolina; nephew, Tyge Christopher Dremann and his wife Amanda Jade Dremann; grand-nephews Troy James Littleton and Jaxs Leroy Dremann of Walhalla, South Carolina.
