Nelle Epting Peterson

She graduated from Dreher High School, then received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Newberry College. She loved to garden, cook, shop estate sales, and most of all spend time with family and friends. She was a member of Washington Street Methodist Church where she participated as a volunteer. She was also a member of Circle 3, and a member of the Dawsey Sunday school class.

Surviving includes her sons Charles H. Peterson, (Jane) of Columbia, SC, Jere E. Peterson (Mary) of Lexington, SC, Todd J. Peterson (Pam) of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren, Chipper Peterson (Rachael), T.J. Peterson, Christopher Peterson, Zoe Peterson, and Ashley Peterson. She was predeceased by a grandson, Alexander Peterson.

A reception and visitation with the family were held at Washington Street United Methodist Church on Thursday, January 12. A private graveside service was held on Friday, January 13, 2023.
