Raymond "Ray" D. Meeks

Born on August 2, 1951, in DeRidder, Louisiana, Ray was the son of the late Clayton Wert Meeks and Helen Virginia Meeks. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Clayton Brewster (Bruce) Meeks, Randall (Randy) Jerome Meeks, and Russel (Rusty) Lloyd Meeks, and is survived by their wives, Elizabeth (Libby) Meeks, Linda Meeks, and Kathleen (Kate) Meeks, as well as by his brother, Robert (Rob) Clark Meeks, and Rob’s wife, Annaliesa Meeks.

Ray proudly served in the U.S. Army Security Agency before continuing his professional journey with Bendix Field Engineering and NCR. He spent the majority of his career in information systems, dedicating 37 years to Conway National Bank, where he ultimately retired as Vice President of Core Systems. His sharp mind and calm leadership left a lasting impact on colleagues and the institutions he served.

He earned an MBA from the University of South Carolina, a reflection of his commitment to lifelong learning and professional excellence.

Ray is survived by his devoted wife, Lynn E. Meeks; his children, Raymond Scott Meeks (Heather Lynn Meeks) and Susan Meeks (Ed Hoffman). He was a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend whose steady presence and humor will be deeply missed.

In accordance with his wishes, no formal service will be held.
