Terry Wayne Catoe

Born in Kershaw South Carolina on August 15, 1951, Terry was the oldest son of the late Harold Bennett (Jack) and Laura Christine Sims Catoe. After graduating from the University of South Carolina where he studied Accounting, he went on to becoming a successful Certified Public Accountant. That career move would lead him to meet the love of his life, Sharon, in 1976.

Terry and Sharon were married in 1978 in Columbia, SC and from there, built their own small legacy. Terry is survived by his wife, Sharon, their son Jason (Tina), their grandchildren, Audrianna (Wyatt), Todd (Celeste), Devon (Chris), Trenton, and Autumn, their great grandchildren, Sydney, Kaylee, Isabella, Layla, Lucas, and Joanna, as well as his brother Dean (Teresa).

Terry was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church , Congaree in Hopkins SC where he had served on the vestry and finance committee.

In retirement, Terry spent his time running marathons, going to the beach, watching his favorite shows/sports and cheering on his favorite team, the South Carolina Gamecocks.

There will be a graveside service held at St. John's Episcopal Church, Congaree located at 1151 Elm Savannah Road, Hopkins SC 29061 on Saturday, February 28 at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends in the parish house following the service. Dunbar Funeral Home on Devine street will coordinate. Memorials can be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church Congaree.
