Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of Wayne Ervin Taylor and the late Edith Rose Wheeler Taylor. A 1985 graduate of Irmo High School, he worked at Fluor Daniel as an Iron Worker. Tony enjoyed Rock and Roll music, Harley Davidsons, Ford Mustangs, and his Iron Head Brothers.
Surviving are his father, Wayne E. Taylor; sister, Monica Taylor; beloved niece, Bella Rose “Turtle” Taylor; brother-in-law, Thomas Gray; aunts, Polly Robinson and Mary Dean Thigpen; uncles, Paul and Edward Taylor; cousins, Johnny Spivey, and Michael Paul Blalock; and several additional aunts, and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Edith Rose Taylor.
A Harleys and Heaven Celebration of Tony’s Life will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, June 16, 2025 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon prior to the service at the funeral home. Please wear black and orange colors.
