COLUMBIA - TSgt Belton Ray Craig, USAF (Ret.), 94, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2022.
A graveside service featuring military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2022 in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
Ray was born in Woodruff on May 22, 1928. He will be remembered for his welcoming smile and his happy and friendly personality.
He is predeceased by his mother and father, Lizzie Mae Craig and Willie Crowe; and his siblings, Charlie Crowe, and Carol Craig. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Jeannine “Jean” Craig; two brothers, Jessie Craig and Kenneth Crowe; a sister, Myrle Scott; sister-in- law, Adele “Ada” Blackwell; and several nieces and nephews.
