Wayne Eugene Whitworth Jr.

COLUMBIA - Wayne E. Whitworth, Jr. and his wife, Kristie A. Mason, died in an accident on March 13, 2016. Wayne, Jr. was a graduate of Dreher High School and Midlands Tech in the Electricians Program. He became a master electrician and worked in his profession until his death. Wayne, Jr. was a member of Heyward Street United Methodist Church. Wayne, Jr. was a member of Pacific Masonic Lodge and was a Master Mason. He is survived by his parents, Wayne E., Sr. and Linda C. Whitworth; daughters, Jessica L. Whitworth (Bobby) and Kayla M. Whitworth; grandson, Nathan T. Branch; sister, Kristy Whitworth Dean (Scott); nephews, Kristopher Benjamin and Chase Dean; great-nephew, Ben Dean; his Uncle Al and Aunt Pat Whitworth; cousin, Karen Matthews (Tim); and his two dear friends, Lindsay Bacon and Blake Richardson. Wayne, Jr. and his wife Kristie’s memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Heyward Street United Methodist Church, 2501 Heyward Street, Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The Reverend Jeri Katherine Sipes and The Reverend Michael Bingham will officiate. Wayne, Jr. will have Masonic Rites. Wayne, Jr. and Kristie’s lives were taken away from us in one quick moment leaving us with broken hearts. We know our two angels are together in Heaven.
