Venia Mae Bullard

Vena Mae Bullard, 103, of Columbus died 2:17 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Hope. She was born in Columbia, Kentucky February 4, 1915, the daughter of Millard and Bertie Beard Burton. She married Marshall W. Bullard December 9, 1931 in Franklin, Indiana; he preceded her in death October 25, 1978. She was a member of First Christian Church and worked most of her life at Gene’s Bakery in Columbus. She is survived by 2 grandsons, Mike (Pat) Beatty and Gary (Tracy) Beatty both of Columbus; 7 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Geneva D. Beatty; brother, John Logan Burton; sisters; Nellie Burton and Elizabeth Shutters. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Hathaway~Myers Chapel on Pearl Street. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to service time. Burial will follow in Garland Brook Cemetery.
