

Clara Lemm Brogan, 101, of Concord, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025. In her long lifetime she was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, she was a teacher, an actress, a director, a gifted cook, a gardener, a quilter and needleworker, an avid reader and accomplished storyteller.
“Born in Texas on December 31, 1923, Clara attended college at the University of Saint Mary before attending Julliard in New York City. She and her husband Edward moved to Concord in 1948, two years after their wedding at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. Clara taught music, both privately and in the Merrimack Valley School District and the Concord School District, for more than 35 years.”

Clara was an active member of St Peter’s Church as well as The Concord Community Players and the Shakespeare Club.
Clara is survived by her son-in-law Alan Jesseman; granddaughter Martha Coss and her husband Will; great- grandchildren Trisha Richardson and Matthew Miller; and 5 great-great-grandchildren Devon, Lydia, Madison, Olivia and Shane. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Edward Brogan, her daughter Nancy Bailey, and son Paul Brogan.
A service at Christ the King Parish will be held at a later date.
