Born in Malden Mass. September 12, 1947 to Philip James, and Alice (Ciotti) Sabbia. Her family moved to Pittsfield, NH during her childhood where she graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1965.
After graduation she met the love of her life Ed at a local hang out. They were married in September 1967 in her home town. Together they built a happy and loving home to raise their children. In 1974 they moved to Concord where she has remained.
Elaine enjoyed crafts of all kinds and was very talented. In her younger days you might find her at a local craft fair selling her dolls or floral arrangements. Elaine was always looking into something new and loved to create and inspire others to do the same. Her family and friends all had garlands, wreaths or arrangements to make their houses more special. Her sewing abilities were quite well known. Besides dolls and various crafts she even made clothes for herself, her children and grandchildren when they were young. She was a juror for the League of NH Craftsman and had many items for sale in their stores.
Elaine enjoyed her flower gardens and plants. She could name almost any flower and could tell you all about each one. She had quite a collection of books and was always reading on the topics she enjoyed. Another one of her favorite activities was to search for a bargain at local yard sales. Every Saturday, weather permitting, she would head out to score great finds for her family and friends.
Elaine spent many years assisting and working in Ed’s accounting office. She loved seeing and getting to know all the clients over the years and many of those friendships continued. When they were not working, Elaine and Ed loved to travel by motorcycle. They would regularly be found off on a day trip somewhere in the north east or the coast for an adventure and to enjoy natures beauty. Another favorite activity was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Elaine is predeceased by her beloved husband Edwin Langevin and parents Phillip and Alice Sabbia Lunde.
She is survived by her children: Matthew Langevin of Concord, Bridgett Beckwith and husband Scott of Concord; her sister Patricia Sabbia of Concord, her brother Phillip Sabbia and wife Terrie of Barnstead and sister Alicia Luszey and husband Bob of Hudson; Grandchildren Samantha Silver, Brooke LaRochelle; several great grandchildren.
