Jean was born on October 17, 1950 in Concord, NH to Phyllis and Lloyd Lawrie and was a lifetime resident of West Concord. She graduated from Concord High School in 1968 and then gained two associates degrees, one from Pierce College for Women and the other from NHTI. In 1982, she graduated from Franklin Pierce College with a B.S. in accounting and worked for a number of Concord area offices before starting her own business, Bookkeeping Plus, LLC, in 1987.
Jean was a leader in her field; she was an enrolled agent and long time board member of the NATP, New Hampshire Chapter, in addition to teaching Quickbooks at NHTI. When she was not working, Jean maintained an active travel itinerary and was an avid quilter and crafter. She doted on her cats, Sandy, Mac, Kirby, Jenny, and her rabbits. Jean was active with Rainbow Girls and Eastern Star for many years.
Jean is predeceased by her parents, Phyllis and Lloyd Lawrie of Concord, NH; brother, Robert Lawrie of North Sutton, NH; grandparents, aunts, and uncles. She is survived by her sister-in-law Lynne Lawrie of North Sutton, NH; a niece, Tina Lawrie, of Las Vegas, NV; a nephew, Scott Lawrie and his wife Sarah, of Richmond, NH; and nephew Christopher Lawrie, Leah Milano, and great-nephew Dillon Lawrie of Boscawen, NH.
She also will be greatly missed by her neighbors on Hillcrest Avenue in Concord, her friends, as well as her many loyal and appreciative clients and colleagues.
Jean was interred at the family plot at Woodlawn Cemetery, in Concord, NH on April 4.
