
Lillian was born at Holyoke hospital in Holyoke,Ma on May 26th 1925, daughter of Hervey Tremblay and Alma ( Brien ) Tremblay. Her only sibling, Eva (Tremblay) Fay died in 2011. She lived most of her life in New Hampshire spending her years in Sanbornton, Concord, Pembroke, Belmont, and lastly Gilford with her son Roger Gerner.
Lillian retired at the age of 71 from the State Hospital in Concord, New Hampshire working as a certified nurse. She was a member of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare since 1991, donated to the Humane Society and other charities. She enjoyed the stray cats she made a home for, walking her dog Candy, flower gardening and her children when they made visits, during the last years of her life.
Lillian is predeceased by her husband Walter Gerner whom died in 1971, and their loving son, Walter Gerner Jr. born May 22, 1954, died October 28, 1968.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan J. Gould and Husband Clyde Gould, their children: Clyde Gould, Jennifer Gould, Gena Gould. Her second daughter Karen A. Petersen and husband William F. Petersen, their children: Lee A. Petersen, Carl M. Petersen. Her third daughter Catherine L. Ellis, her children Joel Ellis and wife Simka, Nathan Ellis and his child Bryson, Austin Braley ( Catherine's youngest son ). Her son William Gerner and his wife Tracy ( Kelley ) Gerner, their children: Julienne Gerner, Alyssa Gerner. Her son Alfred L. Gerner, his son, Kyle Gerner. Her son Roger Gerner.
A memorial service will be held Saturday Feb. 11, at 2:30 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation, 814 Elm St. No. 300, Manchester, NH 03101.
