

CONCORD – Lois T. (Trombly) Woodman, 87, died on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Harris Hill Center, in Concord, NH.
Mrs. Woodman was born on March 14, 1927, in Concord, NH the second child of nine children born to the late Napoleon (Paul) A. and Gertrude (Foley) Trombly. She was a lifelong resident of Concord.
Prior to her retirement in 1992, Lois was employed as a supervisor for Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She was a dedicated and respected staff member for 45 years.
She was a member of the United Baptist Church, following her husband Doug upon their marriage. She was a member of the Emerson Circle and also the Kings Daughters. Lois was a past nursery school teacher and participated in numerous activities at church. Her church was very important to her. She always got great pleasure from the wonderful music offered with the services.
Among Lois’ many interests, she enjoyed being at the seashore at York Beach and Rye Beach. She was very skilled at skee ball when challenged by family at the Fun O Rama. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her children, grandchildren, and granddogs gave her great joy throughout her life.
Lois’ children were always grateful that they were taught the importance of helping the older members of the family and community. For example, after every snow storm she would bring her children over to an elderly neighbor’s house to shovel the walkway. Lois and Doug made it a point to include older family members on trips or vacations whenever they could. Lois was always there for any family member or friend. She was the rock of the family. Her strength, love and smile will be greatly missed.
Members of her family include; her two sons, Stephen Woodman, of Concord, NH; David Woodman and his wife Barbara, also of Concord, NH; a daughter, Wendy Woodman, of Penacook, NH; two grandsons, Ryan Douglas Woodman and Andrew Stephen Woodman, both of Concord, NH; three brothers, Elmer Trombly and his wife Gloria, of Concord, NH; Nelson Trombly, of Lehigh Acres, FL; Paul Trombly and his wife, Roberta, of Boscawen, NH; one sister, Barbara Spinney and her husband, Richard, of Newington, NH; sister-in-law, Connie Trombly, of Milford, OH; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.She is also survived by her beloved granddog Tara, who gave Lois tremendous love and companionship during Lois’ last years. Lois was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Woodman, who died in 1983. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Edward Trombly, Raymond Trombly, and by two sisters, Pauline Gamble and Marie Guerin.
