Patrick Henry Foster, age 80, of Allenstown, New Hampshire passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025. He was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts on September 30, 1944, to his late parents, his mother Reda (McCormick) Foster and his father Edgar A. Foster. Like so many of his generation, Patrick felt the call to duty and proudly served his nation in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he came back to the Boston area to start and raise a family.
As a union carpenter, Patrick owned and operated Triple F Construction. Following family traditions, he was a master carpenter, of the finest quality, from a long line of carpenters and builders, extending back many generations. Extremely proud of his and his family's impact on the Boston city skyline, rest assured, Patrick and the extended Foster family had a hand in crafting it.
A couple of paragraphs cannot sum up a person's life, nor measure the difference in the countless lives they made. Patrick was a selfless man, often helping those who were less fortunate than himself. He was many things to many different people; he was a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, great-grandfather, an uncle, a friend, and a mentor. As a mentor, his legacy, integrity, and ethics will continue for many generations. Patrick touched many lives in many different circles, and he will fondly be remembered, cherished, and missed by all.
Patrick, described as a man living a simple life, lived an extremely rich and fulfilling life. After retiring, he continued to serve his community, but on a much smaller and more direct scale. Patrick, as a foster grandparent, volunteered countless hours with the Friend Program, mentoring and teaching students at Concord High School with his decades of experience in the industrial trades. He also enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, taking in nature, sharing good conversation over a game of cribbage, trying his luck in Las Vegas, and being a devoted family man.
Patrick, who was the beloved patriarch of his family, is survived by his three children, his son Michael P. Foster of Allenstown; his daughter Kelly A. Meyers and her husband Eugene of Manchester; and his daughter Lisa M. Slater and her husband David of Nashua. He is also the beloved grandfather to his nine grandchildren: Olivia Foster, Anthony Foster, Lacey Foster, Sarah Ann Meyers, Molly Meyers, Jordyn Dawson and her husband Ryan, Jacob Bordeleau, Josie Slater and Jaiden Slater. Patrick is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren: Hunter, Jackson, Maverick, Hayley, Ryder, Jasper, Kai, Parker, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by his beloved bride Ellen E. (Fucci) Foster in 2015; his brother Edgar A. Foster Jr.; and his grandson Jason P. Meyers.
