Phyllis Ann Peterson

Phyllis Ann (Fogarty) Peterson, died suddenly on January 15, 2024. She was 91 years old. Phyllis was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on July 5, 1932 She was the daughter of the late James and Marie (LeBlanc) Fogarty. She was predeceased by her sisters Joan Landry, Dolores Wood, and Ellen Speropolous She grew up in Lynn, Massachusetts, graduated from St. Mary’s High School and then after high school worked at the GE for 5 years.

She married Francis R. Peterson on July 17, 1954 with whom she shared close to 70 years of marriage. She eventually moved to Danvers, Massachusetts where she raised her six daughters. In addition to her husband, she is survived by Mary Ann Cavanagh and her husband James of Billerica, Massachusetts, Julie F. Bouchard and her husband Robert of Ipswich, Valerie J. Peterson of Haverhill, Massachusetts, Jean T. Wright and her husband Paul of Danvers, Massachusetts, Jennifer M. Shouey and her husband Timothy of Exeter, New Hampshire. She is predeceased by her daughter Greta E. Busta. She will be missed by her 16 grandchildren, Meaghan, Danielle, Heather, Stephen, Carl, Anna, Daniel, David, Jessica, Jonathan, Christoopher, Dana, Patrick, Timothy Jr, Kelly, and Kyle. She is predeceased by her grandson named William. She also leaves behind 12 great grandchildren.

Phyllis was a very religious woman who deeply loved Our Lord. She enjoyed watching Christian ministry television shows. She read the Bible every day and copied those verses that meant very much to her.

Phyllis’ burial services will be private.
