

Sharon Ann (Guay) Abbott passed away peacefully at the Concord Hospice House on September 26. “Sherry” was born in Concord on January 11th 1945. She was the daughter of Richard D. Guay and Alice (Bennett) Guay of Concord. She attended Concord schools and was a 1963 graduate of Concord High School and graduated from Andover College in Andover, MA. Sherry worked for the State of New Hampshire in the divisions of Motor Vehicles, the Department of Agriculture; she also worked at Endicott Furniture of Concord and volunteered at the Currier Art Gallery of Manchester.
Sharon’s love of antiques was always a passion of hers. Her eye for design noted in her home. She enjoyed the company of her cats and dog, Josh. Sharon loved to walk the beach in Hampton, one of her favorite places, with her husband.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 35 years, Frank L. Abbott, of Goffstown; her daughters Sarah Greene of Rockport, ME, Kristen and her husband Robert Bernstein of Richmond Hill, GA; her beloved grandchildren Carley and Charlie Bernstein also of Richmond Hill, GA; her mother Alice B. Guay of Concord; a brother Stephen B. Guay and his wife Patricia Guay of Hopkinton; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES: At the family’s request no calling hours will be held. A memorial service will be on October 8th at 11:00 a.m. at the NH Veterans Cemetery Chapel in Boscawen.
Sharon’s family request that in lieu of flowers a contribution can be sent in her name to the Concord VNA Hospice House at 240 Pleasant Street Concord, N.H. 03301.
The Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of the arrangements.
