Bobby Lee Moody

Bobby Lee Moody, age 79, of Statesville NC, formerly of Conover passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at his residence. Born April 26, 1933 in McDowell County, he was the son of the late Clyde Leonard and Janie Parker Moody.

He had worked as a dock worker for Yellow Freight and as a lineman for BellSouth, was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War and a member of the American Legion Post #16. Mr. Moody attended Concordia Lutheran Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Elaine Staton and two brothers, Jimmy Ray Moody and Henry Alonzo Moody.

Survivors include three sons, Bobby Ray Moody of Myrtle Beach, SC, Richard Adrian Moody of Concord, NC and Christopher Wayne Moody and wife, Tammy of Statesville, NC; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren..

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Conover City Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #16.

Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. at Drum Funeral Home in Conover.
