Burnise Houser Goings

Burnise Houser Goings, 91, of Claremont passed away Monday, November 29, 2021. Born Saturday, July 19, 1930 in Hamilton County, Tennessee; Burnise was the daughter of Jessie James Houser, Sr. and Lillie Shankles Cole.

In addition to her parents, Burnise was preceded in death by her husband, Gray Franklin Goings; brothers; Charles Houser, Arlen Houser, Roger Houser, and Sonny Houser; sister, Kay Walker; daughter Patricia Ann Shelton and grandchild, David Laws.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Jane G. Cole; brothers, Woodrow Houser, Earl Houser, Gary Houser, and Jesse James Houser, Jr., sister, Barbara Jean Dunn; two grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Burnise was a member of Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden, NC.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. at Drum Funeral Home Chapel, 509 First Ave S, Conover, NC. Pastor Lee McNeil and Rev. Charles Worley will be officiating.

Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.

Family will receive friends prior to the service at Drum Funeral Home from 12:30 to 1:30, on Monday December 6, 2021.
