Janice Welch Hall, 63, of Newton went home to be with her Lord on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton. Born March 2, 1951 in Marion, NC, she was the daughter of the late Vester and Edna Mae Earley Welch. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Newton and loved trout fishing. She worked in the medical field transcribing records. After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Makayla.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, James Leon Hall; sons, Michael Clayton Hall and wife, Wanda, of Conover and Steven Vester Hall of Conover; and granddaughter, Makayla Nicole Hall.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at Grace Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2014 with Rev. Dr. J. George "Gil" Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Drum Funeral Home in Conover.
