Jemmetta Billie Hall Eckard, age 85, of Conover, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Jemmetta was born on Wednesday, February 8, 1939 to Thomas Hall and Edith Marie Barton Hall.
Jemmetta was a registered nurse and worked at Catawba Valley Medical Center. She was caring, kind, and loved by many.
Those left to cherish Jemmetta's memory are her husband of 30 years, David Horniman; sons, Gary Mitchell, Joel Eckard; stepsons, Matthew Horniman, Nathan Horniman; stepdaughters, Kimberly Horniman, Alisa Horniman; and many other family members.
A Memorial Service honoring Jemmetta will be held at 2pm on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church, 701 N Main Ave, Newton, NC 28658. Visitation will follow after the service.
The Eckard family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Conover, NC.
