Born October 21, 1944 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late William Arthur Bandy and Floy Virginia Duncan Bandy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Edith Rose Shook Bandy and a son, Larry Gene Bandy
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kathryn Denise Bandy of the home; sons, Jamie Lee Bandy of the home, Gary Dean Bandy of Claremont; sister, Linda Spencer of Newton; brothers, Dwight David Bandy and Robin Dale Bandy, both of Newton; grandchildren, Heather Hobbs, Denise Bandy, Bradley Bandy; great-grandchildren, Corvin Swaim and Briar-Rose Mash.
A Receiving of Friends will be held at Drum Funeral Home in Conover on Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
