Johnnie Jeanette McGee

Born June 16, 1927 in Catawba County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Maudella Keener. Mrs. McGee loved to do word puzzles, loved flowers, cross stitching, quilting, and was a wonderful cook who loved spending time with her family. She was the co-owner, proprietor and waitress of White Pines Restaurant.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Noah Woodrow McGee Sr. and a sister, Peggy Drucilla Cline.

Survivors include her sons Woody McGee and wife Joyce of Bethlehem, Gary McGee and wife Susan B. of Conover, Dean McGee and wife Terri of Conover, Neal McGee and wife Susan D. McGee of Taylorsville; daughter Sandra Petrovich of Conover; sisters Marion Sybil Bost and husband Bill of Conover; Nancy Revonda Smith and husband Dalford of Conover, and Betty Jean Barnard of Conover; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 1 grand dog.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover. Rev Brad Thie will officiate and burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Tim Turnmire, Josh McGee, Trace McGee, Zachary Caetta, Chip McGee and Tyler McKinney.

Mrs. McGee was much loved and will be truly missed.
