Larry David Cote

Born July 8, 1947 in Kankakee, Illinois, he was the son of the late Clifford E. Cote and Madaline Morel Cote of Martinton, Illinois. The nephew of Mary Cote Kornegay, who currently resides in Claremont, NC, Larry graduated from Kankakee High School in 1966. He was employed by General Foods Redemption Center Print Shop and Walter’s Office Equipment in Bradley, Illinois. Larry was the owner and photographer of The Shutter Shop and Cote Photography. He was also a member of the Kankakee Camera Club, Illinois Wildlife Photographer of the Year and winner of numerous other photography awards, and an active member of the Kankakee Jaycees. For eighteen years, he partnered with his sons at Dynamic Office Equipment in Hickory, NC. Larry enjoyed photography, hunting, creating and landscaping fish ponds, and spending time with his family.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford E. Cote and Madaline Morel Cote.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Alice Rogers Cote, who he was joined together with on November 23, 1968 at Wesley Methodist Church in Bradley, Illinois; sons, Scott David Cote of Hickory, and Andy Cote and wife, Janet, of Hickory; grandchildren, Justin David Cote, Grayson James Cote, and Ava Caroline Cote; brothers, Gerald Cote and wife, Lu, of Arizona, and Danny Cote and wife, Margaret, of Illinois; sister, Gwenlyn Maddox of Georgia; several nieces and nephews; cousins, Reid Moore and wife, Diana, of Hickory, Joe Barrie and wife, Roberta, of Illinois, David Martin and wife, Jenny, of England; honorary friends, Marcos Acevedo and wife, Sue, Paul Zeedyk and wife, Beth, Gerald Zeedyk and wife, Joyce, Hugo Ramos and wife, Corine, and Carson Williams and wife, Dottie.
