I have known Martha Jo for almost the entire span of my life, long before she married into our Drum-Wilkinson Clan. And throughout that time she has never given me reason to feel anything but fondness and admiration for her. She was kind, generous, fun; she was dedicated, loyal and smart...and so much more.
Thus, both as a long time friend and a family member, I and other family members grieve with Robert and Dana, Dianne and Michael, Cynthia and all of the grand and great grand children that Martha Jo is now absent from us.
We are confident you have many wonderful memories that will be kept safe in heart and mind. Our prayers are with you; may you find peace and joy in the confidence of her eternal home.

Martha was part of "the village that raised" me during my formative years. She embodied southern hospitality, was warm, kind, and shined God's light on all of us.
Thank you so much Martha for being an angel here on earth who helped me to stay on the right path.

Martha Jo and I were life-long friends, starting in 2nd. Grade at Newton Elementary School and graduating from Newton-Conover High School in 1956. I have alerted all members of our graduating class about her untimely death. I have posted a photo of Martha Jo's 13th birthday party which her parents held at Newton First Methodist Church. This was our first formal event, so it was a very special occasion and we all we so excited to be so dressed up! Martha Jo is on the first row, 2nd from the left. I am 3rd from the left. What a happy memory! I think the name of the little building was called "the hut" and I remember that our Girl Scout meetings were held in the little building,
