Michael Levane Edmondson

Michael Levane Edmondson, age 67, of Sherrills Ford, NC died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born August 31, 1945 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Howard Levane Edmondson and Evelyn Goforth Edmondson Hedrick.

He was a member of Mathis Chapel Baptist Church and had worked as an upholsterer at Pembrook Furniture and Trendline Furniture for 30 years. Mr. Edmondson enjoyed working in the yard and was a Sunday school teacher supreme and a very beloved brother.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Andy Deal.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years Laura Gail Edmondson of the home; a son, Michael “Scott” Edmondson and wife Karen of Sherrills Ford: two brothers, Wilburn Edmondson and wife Evelyn of Maiden, Nelson Hedrick and wife Lisa of Catawba; three sisters, Frankie Williams and husband Ernest of Maiden, Sheila Holbrook and husband David of Hickory, Gail Deal of Conover; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Anna Edmondson; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

A service of remembrance will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Mathis Chapel Baptist Church in Catawba. Rev. Travis Triplett will officiate and burial will be in Mathis Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. on Friday at the church.
