
Born December 21, 1959 in Caldwell County, she was the daughter of Edward Austin and the late Cornelia Bradshaw Austin. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Conover. She loved to volunteer for the church and enjoyed working with the youth group. Nancy was an employee at People’s Bank for over 20 years. She played the piano and organ at Shiloh Methodist Church in Setzer’s Creek growing up.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Allen Austin.
Survivors include: husband of 29 years, Michael Anderson; father, Edward Austin; sisters-in-law, Leona DeCato and husband, Roger of Hickory, Cynthia Dula of Jacksonville, FL; niece, Isabelle DeCato and various cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Conover with Reverend Mickey Moree officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00p.m.to 3:45 p.m. at First United Methodist Church prior to the service.
