Ray Pearson, age 79, of Hickory, went home to be with his heavenly father on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. Ray was born on Tuesday, January 26, 1943 in Wilkes County, North Carolina to the late Junior Edgar Pearson and Lora Belle Pearson.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Jackie Petty Pearson; brother, Samuel Lee Pearson and sister Mattie Earp.
Those left to cherish his memory are sons, Timothy Ray Pearson (Kathy), Shane Travis (Holly), Casey Travis (Brandi); daughters, Angela Pearson Bebber (Bobby), Crystal Pearson Page (Sean), Amber Travis; brothers, William Pearson (Clinie), Jack Pearson (Robin), Larry Pearson (Brenda); sisters, Lora Philips (Keith), Mary Ann Anderson (Larry), Magdeline Knight; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; cherished nieces and nephews, as well as many beloved friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 19th from 6pm to 8pm at Drum Funeral Home, 509 1st Ave South, Conover.
A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, September 20th at 2pm at Drum Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Jones officiating.
Burial will follow the service at 3pm, Catawba Memorial Park, 3060 US-70, Hickory, NC 28603.
