Renee Sigmon Hedrick

Renee Sigmon Hedrick, age 58, of Claremont, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born September 28, 1955 in Killeen, Texas, she was the daughter of Gloria Huffman Sigmon and the late Fred McDonald Sigmon. She worked in the office of Renwood (Midstate) Mills for over 30 years. Renee was a giving person who loved to sing in the choir at Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont, where she was a member. She was a leader with both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. She also made time on Monday night to assist with Bingo at a local nursing home.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by sons, Darby Hedrick and wife, Christi, of Blythewood, SC, Nolan Hedrick and wife, Doranda, of Taylorsville, NC; daughter, Hillary Jonas and husband, Brandon, of Claremont, NC; sister, Mona Sigmon of Claremont, NC; grandchildren, Emily, Nate, Addison, and Braylen Hedrick.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Bethel Lutheran Church with Rev. Eric Hollar officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, West Main Street, Claremont, NC.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service.
