Born March 18, 1928 in Catawba, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Kirby Arthur Dellinger and Minnie Catherine Dellinger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Leroy Isenhour; sisters Margaret Lambert and Betty Helms; brother, Monroe Dellinger; and granddaughter, Lisa Hedrick.
Rosetta was the matriarch of her family. She loved family gatherings and Sunday afternoon visits with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid gardener whose yard was constantly in bloom. She blessed each of her children and grandchildren with hand-stitched quilts. A master seamstress, she made wedding gowns for many family members and christening dresses for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her sewing ability was only surpassed by her cooking skills; everyone was welcome at Granny’s table.
She is survived by her eight children: Shirley Hedrick and husband, Danny of Claremont; Jimmy Isenhour and wife, Carolyn of Claremont; Kathy Lowrance and husband, Tim of Claremont; Diana Hicks, and husband, Eric of Conover; Jerry Isenhour and wife, Jane of Newton; Johnny Isenhour and wife, Beth of Newton; Ronald Isenhour of Claremont; and Donald Isenhour and wife, Stacey of Claremont.
